Privacy Policy
WGW is an independent, unofficial iPhone app for following women’s golf. This policy explains how WGW handles information when you use the app.
Information stored on your device
WGW does not require an account. The players and tours you follow, notification preferences, onboarding state, recently viewed coverage, and cached images are stored on your device. iOS may share the minimum necessary cached app state with WGW’s widget and Live Activity through an App Group on that same device.
Deleting WGW removes its app data, subject to iOS backup and restoration behavior controlled by Apple.
Information processed by WGW services
The app requests tournament, leaderboard, player, scorecard, statistics, source-health, and image data from WGW’s service. WGW does not send an account identifier, advertising identifier, followed-player list, contact information, or precise location with those requests.
WGW’s service is hosted on Google Cloud. The hosting platform automatically creates operational request logs that may contain network and diagnostic metadata, including an IP address, request time, requested path, response status, latency, and technical client information. This information is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking and is not linked by WGW to a named user or account. Unless the publisher configures a different retention period or a legal obligation requires otherwise, operational request logs may be retained for up to 30 days.
Notifications, widgets, and Live Activities
If you enable notifications, WGW uses Apple’s notification APIs to present local updates on your device. WGW does not operate a user-account-based push notification profile. Widgets and Live Activities display information selected and cached by the app on your device.
Third-party content and links
WGW displays golf information and imagery obtained from public third-party sources. Source links may open a third-party website in your browser. A third-party site’s privacy practices are governed by that site’s own policy.
Sharing and sale of information
WGW does not sell personal information. WGW does not use information for targeted advertising and does not share information for cross-app or cross-website tracking. Operational data is processed by infrastructure providers only as needed to host and protect WGW’s service.
Children’s privacy
WGW is a general-audience sports app and does not knowingly collect information from children through an account, profile, form, chat, or user-content feature. If you believe information from a child has been retained in WGW’s operational logs, contact the publisher.
Your choices
You can change followed players, tours, notification settings, and Live Activity settings in the app or iOS Settings. You can remove locally stored app data by deleting WGW. For a privacy question or request concerning operational logs, email dmyoung1994@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
The publisher may update this policy when WGW’s features, service providers, or legal obligations change. The current version and its effective date will remain available on this page.
